An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of vitamin E, C, Choline chloride, Selenium and also feeding program on performance and carcass characteristics of broiler. Three treatments with 5 replicates in each treatment and 30 broiler chicks in each replicate were investigated. Experimental design was based on completely randomized design in a factorial methods with 2 feeding programs (control and an hour’s feed allowance and 3 hours restriction), and 3 diets (control. Basal diet 250 IU vit. E, 300 mg Vit. C and 0.3 ppm organic selenium and basal diet IU vit. E, 300 mg Choline chloride and 0.3 ppm organic selenium). Feed intake, body weight gain, mortality, feed conversion ratio were measured weekly and then production index was calculated. At the end of the experiment, percentage of carcass, breast, leg and abdominal fat were measured. According to results, body weight and feed intake was not affected by experimental groups. Feeding program improved Feed conversion ratio at the age of 14 and 42. Carcass, thigh, breast and abdominal fat percentage didn’t affected by treatments. Live ability was increased in treatment with additives and feeding program in comparison to control group. The effect of diet with mineral and vitamin additive, and the interaction of feeding programmed with this diet on production index were significant.

Bulk milk somatic cell count is one of the most important milk health parameters. The aim of this study was to investigate somatic cell count in industrial and traditional bulk milk in Dezful region from 2006 through 2008. The data were analyzed using general linear model procedure of SPSS software. The results showed somatic cell count in traditional bulk milk was significantly lower than industrial bulk milk. The effects of year, season and month on variation of somatic cell count were significant. There were significant differences among centers. Trend of seasonal variation was not the same in industrial and traditional centers. Industrial bulk milk somatic cell count increased continually from spring and peaked in winter. Traditional bulk milk somatic cell count peaked in summer and autumn and it reduced in spring and winter.

    Mohammadyan. A., S. M. Mehdizadeh, H. Lotfollahian Page 33
In order to investigate the effect of different levels of Perobiotic (Biominimbo) in laying hens’ in qualitative characteristics of produced egg, test have been performed randomly with 4 treatments and each treatment content 4 repeated times and each repeat has 15 egg laying birds in 84 days .Treatments were consisted: treatment (1)= basal diet ( without Probiotic), treatment(2)= basal diet 250g Probiotic, treatment (3)= basal diet  g Probiotic and treatment(4)= basal diet g Probiotic per one ton diet. The qualitative characteristics of egg in all periods have been inverstigated in three levels. In attention to achieved results, there weren’t any significant differences in adding probiotic in different levels in exmined treatments compare with observing group in qualitative characteristics of eggs such as: cortex weight, cortex stability ,yolk color, units and specific weight of egg and cortex thickness.cortex thickness of egg in first and second months in treatments 2 and 3 have the most cortex thickness in compare with other treatments and observing group. Measuring units in three different periods (first month) treatment 4,(second month)treatment 3 and (third month) treatment 2 have the most rate of units in compare with other treatments and observing group. Measuring units in three different periods (first month) treatment 4,(second month) treatment 3 and (third month )treatment 2 have the most rate of units in compare with other treatments and observing group. The yolk color of egg in order to ROSH color index have the most color index in first and second months in treatments 3 and 4 compare with other treatments and observing group. In order to achieve results ,the most egg weight rate was in treatment 2 in the last period compare with other treatments. About egg thickness treatment 2 has the most thickness compare with other treaments.Egg weight in the first an third period in treatments 3 and 2 have the most egg weight cortex. according to the results, using probiotic in laying portion leads to increase laying hen performance.

  • The effects of different levels of hull less barley along with enzyme and soaked bitter vetch on growth of broiler
    Biranvandk., M. Rosta, M. Mohammadi Page 43
The experiment is carried out the effects of different levels of naked barley along with enzyme and soaked bitter vetch on growth and characteristics of the carcass of broiler. 459 pieces of one – day brood chicken from commercial strain Ross 308 was used in the experiment factorial basis on completely randomized design 3*3 with three levels of enzyme and 3 levels of soaked bitter vetch with water and 3 replications during 14 until 49 days feed intake in the end of period between units 50% bitter vetch and 50% % naked barely had significant less average than control. Among the least and most feed in take allocated to units 25% bitter vetch 60% naked barley and 50% bitter vetch 30% naked. The feed conversion ratio in starter, grower and finisher period showed significant difference in comparison with control .The best feed conversion ratio (FCR) allocated to unit containing 25% bitter vetch 30% naked barky with 1.99 and the worst FCR allocated to 50% bitter vetch and 60% naked barley with 2.28 Production index in finisher period between control and 50% bitter vetch 60% naked barley had significant difference. (280.8 VS 255.2). The best production index allocated unit 25% bitter vetch % naked barley and the worst production index allocated to 50% bitter vetch 60% naked barley. Therefore, in the view of growth, treatment 30% naked barley 25% bitter vetch was better than 50% bitter vetch 60% naked barley.

  • Effect of funnel and licorice on performance and carcass characteristics of broiler
    Godarz .M., S. A. Hoseini, A. Zarei Page 55
An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of funnel and licorice on performance and carcass characteristics in broiler. Completely randomized design with 6 treatment, 4 replication and 25 day old chicks in each were used. Experimental groups were consisted of 1- Basal diet without any additives( Control -), 2- Basal diet 2.5 g/Kg funnel, 3- Basal diet 5 g/Kg, - Basal diet 2.5 g/Kg licorice, 5- Basal diet 2.5 g/Kg licorice and 6- Basal diet Antibiotic growth promoter. In the experimental periods, feed intake, body weight, livability, feed conversion was measured. At the end of the experiment carcass percentage, breast (%), leg and abdominal fat were measured with 6 birds (3 male and 3 female) from each pen. According to results, using funnel and licorice in 2.5 and 5 g/Kg of diets had no significant effect on feed intake, body weight, livability, feed conversion and production index, but the numerical difference between herbal groups and antibiotic were observed. Based on these results, carcass, breast, drumsticks and abdominal fat percentage had no effect by treatments. Using multi- attribute decision making methods indicated that groups with 2.5 and 5 g/Kg licorice in diet and antibiotic group had the highest manage mental scores. So these groups had a best performance in comparison to other groups and we can say licorice in 2.5 and 5 g/Kg could be a good substitute for antibiotics.

  • Effect of using kombucha on broiler's performance and morphology of small intestine
    Foroutan.K., F. Foroudi Page 65
An experiment was conducted to investigate effects of Kombucha tea on Broiler’s performance and morphology of small Intestine. All chicks had same feeding, 320 Ross308 broiler chicks divided to 4 groups and were drunk with 4 treatments containing: control group, 0.5, 1 and 2% Kombucha for 6 weeks, each group contains 4 replications and each replication contains 20 birds. Determined weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, morality and prepared samples of small intestine from each treatment then performed small intestine’s morphometric analysis. Results show that addition of 1% kombucha to consuming water caused to decrease feed conversion ratio rather than control group and caused to increase weight gain and increased the number of Goblet cells rather other groups. But using of various levels of Kombucha on consumed food was not considerable.

  • Effect of different levels of leaf on nutritional parametes in some Iranian silkworm hybrids
    Hosseini Moghadam. S. H., S. Z. Mirhosseini, M. Ghanipoor, A. R. Seidavi*, A.R. Bizhannia Page 77
Consumed leaf amount is an effective factor which influeced on silkworm hybrid performance. For investigation on effect of different levels of leaf on performance and nutritional parameters, 103×104, 31×32, 107×110, 104×103, 32×31 and 110×107 hybrids which are commercially used for cocoon production. These hybrids were treated under four feeding levels including 5% higher than standard table, equal to standard table, 5% lower than standard table and10% lower than standard table in spring 2003, spring 2004 and autumn 2004. The studied parameterswere: amount of ingestion and digestion, percentage of ingestibility and digestibility, reference ratio, cocoon weight, cocoon shell weight, cocoon shell percentage, efficiency of conversionof ingested (ECI) and digested (ECD) food into cocoon weight and cocoon shell weight. From obtained results, it was showed ingest availability as a nutritional index was significant at all three rearing season and all hybrids except the last hybrid. The studied parameters clearly indicate that ingestion, digestion and utilization of food are mainly dependent upon the feeding level and genotype of the hybrid. The less fed batches registered maximum ingestibility with minimum digestibility and better efficiency of conversion of ingested and digested food into cocoon weight and cocoon shell weight, which may be due to some physiological adaptations to nutritional stress conditions.
